I learnt that the most prized camels that are kept for breeding, are free to roam the desert. (Albeit, tied by the feet.) They then are able to find their way back to the farm by the end of the day. Do camels have passports? I wondered. They don’t, but I know that falcons do. The UAE is the first country in the world to issue passports for them.

This is the beginning of an exploration of identity and transience of the people that come here.

It begins with the story of Ahmed, who came to the UAE from Bangladesh when just an infant, and was taken under the care of a well-know Emirati clan. He fears the restraints on Bangladeshi visas will one day send him to a place he can not call home.
